3th Transnational Meeting to Greece
The 3rd and final transnational meeting of all partners of the ERASMUS+ program titled «Think Green Act Clean», implemented by our school in collaboration with Collegio Ruta de la Plata from Almendralejo, Spain, and Merkez Ortaokulu from Yenipazar, Turkey, was successfully completed.
The meeting began on the evening of Sunday, March 31st with the welcoming of our partners and concluded on Friday, April 4th with emotional farewells and tears.
It was a week full of activities focused on environmental and cultural issues.
The week started with a welcoming event for our partners, first at our school and then at the Municipality of Emmanouil Pappas.
During the week, we visited businesses oriented towards environmental protection and renewable energy (such as Phytoenergia, Kri Kri, and elismadeit zero waste)
hiked around the city of Serres and Agio Pnevma to introduce our region toour guests
Planted flowers using recycled cheese containers as pots, cooked and tasted traditional Greek recipes, and danced together to folk dances from all three countries.
At the same time, we explored cultural and natural landmarks, such as Alistrati, Kerkini Lake, Philippi, the Monastery of Timios Prodromos in Serres, Kavala, and Thessaloniki, which amazed our partners with their beauty.
A special mention goes to our collaboration with ENEEGYL of Serres (A Junior High School for students with special educational needs and disabilities), as 12 students and 3 teachers from the agriculture department participated on Wednesday, April 2nd in the activities of planting, cooking, and cycling, as well as in the celebration that followed.
Students, both Greek and foreign, lived unforgettable experiences through hosting and being hosted. They developed their social skills, improved their English, took on responsibilities, and most importantly, realized how many things unite us.
ERASMUS+ programs truly offer priceless experiences.
