GREECE MEETING

Renewable Energies and Natural Heritage

The transnational meeting in Greece represented an exceptional conclusion to our project, focusing on energy innovation and the richness of European heritage. In line with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), we visited a biodiesel plant where students learned about the processing of soybean seeds into sustainable fuel reinforcing the principles of the circular economy (SDG 12). A key highlight of this stage was our joint work with the special needs school (ENEEGYL-Eniaio Eidiko Epaggelmatiko Gymnasio-Lykeio Serron), which enriched the experience and ensured a truly inclusive approach.

The trip also included an immersion in the geodiversity and history of the region with visits to the impressive Alistrati Caves and the city of Thessaloniki, allowing for a connection between the protection of the natural environment (SDG 15) and the appreciation of European cultural heritage. To conclude the journey, the project coordinators met for a final evaluation session to analyze the impact and results achieved. This final meeting consolidated the collaboration network created, fulfilling SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) and reaffirming the shared commitment of the partner centers toward a greener and more inclusive future.
